Nadia
Nadia is one of West Bengal's core handloom belts, home to the GI-tagged Tangail and Santipur taant sarees woven around Santipur, Fulia and the Krishnanagar area, and to Ranaghat, a centre for chikan (chikankari) embroidery and jute sarees. The district is also famous for Nabadwip-er lal doi (red kheer-style curd), betel-vine leaf and jute grown in the Karimpur–Chakdaha belt, and Krishnanagar's old tradition of clay modelling and pottery.
